The Optical Fiber-coupled Acousto-optic Modulator(AOM) (Fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators,FAOM) is based on the principle of body wave acousto-optic interaction, and has the ability of optical pulse amplitude modulation and optical frequency shift, and its speed is reflected by the rise time of the optical pulse output by the modulator. The speed of the modulator determines the response speed of the system, the available bandwidth and other indicators. FAOM uses Optical Fiber coupling. Compared with free-space acousto-optic devices, it has the advantages of convenient operation, easy integration and high reliability. It is widely used in Optical Fiber sensing systems, Fiber Laser and other fields. We have designed and developed a series of Optical Fiber coupled (polarization maintaining and non-polarization maintaining) AOM, the highest frequency can reach 300MHz, the rise time is as low as 6ns. We can customize the FAOM of the corresponding parameters according to customer requirements, and the Optical Fiber end can also be configured with FC/APC and other connectors as required.
