| SHG and THG properties of LBO crystals at room temperature

LBO crystal can be used for 2. frequency tripled Phase matching of Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF Laser, and can be used for class I and class II matching.

At room temperature, in the large Wavelength range of 551nm to 2600nm, the XY plane and the XZ plane (see Figure 2) can achieve a type I match with the largest effective frequency doubling coefficient (the effective second-order Nonlinear Optics coefficient is shown in Table 2).

Application of 2. Triple Frequency Multiplication in | LBO Crystal

·For 2W mode-locked Ti:Sapphire lasers ( < 2ps,82MHz), using LBO crystal frequency doubling can output 395nm Laser with power greater than 480mW

·Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser with frequency doubling of 18mm class II LBO crystal can obtain Green(515/532nm) output with power greater than 80W

·LD-pumped Nd:YLF Laser Source (> 500 μJ @ 1047nm,< 7 ns,0-10KHz) using 9mm LBO crystals can have a frequency doubling conversion rate greater than 40%

·Using LBO crystal and frequency effect can output 187.7nm Wavelength vacuum ultraviolet light

·Intracavity frequency tripled on Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser to obtain Diffraction Limit beams with output Pulse Energy up to 2mJ @ 355nm

| LBO crystal noncritical Phase matching

As shown in Table 3, the non-critical Phase matching (Non-Critical Phase Matching,NCPM) of LBO crystal has the characteristics of no walk-off, wide acceptance angle, large effective coefficient, etc. Making full use of this characteristic can make LBO play the best effect. The Nd:YAG Laser using non-critical Phase matched LBO crystal achieves a second harmonic conversion greater than 70% in pulsed mode and greater than 30% in continuous mode with good beam quality and stable output. As shown in Figure 3, the LBO crystal at room temperature can obtain class I and class I non-critical Phase matching in the X-axis and Z-axis directions, respectively.

We have developed a heating furnace and temperature controller for the application of LBO crystal non-critical Phase matching. Please consult customer service for detailed technical specifications.

| NCPM Applications of LBO Crystals

·Out-of-cavity frequency doubling of a 25W Antares mode-locked Nd:YAG laser (76 MHz,80ps) can obtain a 532nm Laser with a Average Power greater than 11W.

·The medical multimode Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser frequency doubling can output 20W Green(515/532nm), the greater the input power, the higher the output power.

| OPO and OPA for LBO crystals

LBO crystal has a wide tuning Wavelength range and high anti-damage threshold, which is an excellent Nonlinearity Optics crystal suitable for Optics parametric amplifier (OPA) and Optics parametric oscillator (OPO) applications. The Pump Source of OPA and OPO with 2. frequency tripled Nd:YAG Laser Source and 308nm XeCI excimer Laser Source has been reported. The matching of class I and II Phase of LBO crystal and the characteristics of NCPM provide a broad space for its in-depth research and application in the field of OPO and OPA.Fig. 4 shows the theoretical calculation tuning curve of class I OPO at room temperature of LBO crystal pumped by Nd:YAG Laser 2. 3. quadruple frequency on XY plane.Figure 5 shows the LBO Class II OPO tuning curve of the Nd:YAG Laser 2. triple frequency pumping on the XZ plane.

| Application of LBO Crystal in OPO and OPA

· The OPO with 355nm as the pump light source has a high overall conversion rate, and the output is tunable at 540-1030nm.

· It has been reported that class I LBO crystal OPA pumped by 355nm light can achieve 30% pump-to-signal energy conversion rate.

· The type I matching NCPM-OPO system with 308 nmXeCI excimer Laser as the pump light source can achieve 16.5% energy conversion rate, and a suitable tunable wavelength range can be obtained through different pump sources and temperature adjustment

· Using class II CPMLBO as Optics parametric generator (OPG), class I critical Phase BBO crystal as Optics parametric amplifier (OPA), and using 4.8 mJ,30 ps,354.7nm Laser pump to pump, a narrow linewidth (0.15 nm) and a high pump-to-signal energy conversion rate (32.7) can be obtained, by increasing the temperature of the LBO crystal or rotating the BBO can be obtained with a Wavelength tuning range of 482.6-415.9nm

| Spectral noncritical Phase matching of LBO crystals

LBO crystals are able to obtain not only angle-varying non-critical Phase matching (NCPM), but also spectral-varying non-critical Phase matching (SNCPM).As shown in Figure 2, its Phase matching turning point is located at & lambda;Bright!= 1.31 μm,& theta;= 86.4 °,Φ = 0 ° (class I) and & lambda;CO₂= 1.30 μm,& theta;= 4.8 °,Φ = 0 ° (Class II); The Phase matching of the above two positions has a larger spectral reception & Delta;& lambda; & delta; & lambda;, calculated at & lambda;Bright!57nm · cm, at & lambda;CO₂74nm · cm, which is larger than the & Delta;& lambda; of other NLO crystals;.These spectral characteristics of LBO crystals are very suitable for frequency doubling of broadband coherent radiation of about 1.3 μm, such as some diode Laser Source and some OPA/OPO outputs without linewidth narrowing components.
