Ytterbium-Yttrium-Doped Aluminum (Al) Garnet Crystal (Yb:Y----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Al[...] O bright! CO₂, Yb:YAG) is one of the most promising solid Laser working materials, which is more suitable for diode pumping than the traditional Nd-doped system. Compared with the commonly used Nd:YAG crystal, Yb:YAG crystal has a wider Absorption bandwidth, can reduce the temperature management requirements in the use of diode lasers, and has a longer Laser energy level life, per unit of pump power 3 - 4 times lower thermal load. The Yb:YAG crystal at 1030nm can well replace the Nd:YAG crystal at 1064nm, and its second harmonic at 515nm can replace the Ar ion Laser Source (larger volume) that emits 514nm Wavelength.
